In Frame Kitchen White Cabinets
This classic in frame kitchen was focused on creating a central focal point for the beautiful Aga. The hand painted cabinets are in a specially mixed colour which was developed especially for our client by her Interior Designer. Other appliances included an Integrated Liebherr Fridge and Freezer, Franke Sink and taps. All the work surfaces are finished with zodiac quartz.
When our client approached us at Andrew Ryan Furniture, the brief was to create a classic in - frame kitchen that was as stunning as the house that it would be located in. So we began the collaborative design process with our client, her Architect, Interior Designer and our team of qualified design professionals in Andrew Ryan Furniture.
Every kitchen design starts with concept generation and during this process we recommended to completely change the orientation of the kitchen, moving the Aga from its initially proposed location to its final more central location. This then allowed for two large Georgian style windows to be placed on this wall to let more light into this large room whilst also maximising the wonderful views this house enjoys.
The elevation at the Aga was now going to become the feature wall in this room. It was decided to construct an impressive overmantle with recessed storage units either side of the AGA. This faces onto the island unit and across to a pantry unit so as to accomodate a tall pull out larder unit, fridge and freezer. To ensure the overmantle would deliver the impact in this room, considerable time was spent on detailed technical drawings to get the proportions of the overmantle correct for the space in this room.
One of the challenges moving the Aga resulted in, was the location of the entrance into the pantry area. A large pair of hand painted cabinets doors conceals the walk-in pantry room which is shelved from floor to ceiling in American white oak. This pantry room also has a hatch located in one of the walls to allow access to the utility room.
This is a truly magnificent classic kitchen design in a beautiful home.
