The Design Process @ Andrew Ryan

Aiden Ryan and Dominic Ryan
The most important consideration in our design process is ensuring that your finished kitchen will be a perfect fit for your life, reflecting both your individuality and your day-to-day needs.

A testament to this commitment is the fact that over a third of our business comes from people we have worked with before as they buy new homes or holiday homes. Many also come from direct recommendations to family and friends by delighted customers and, much to our pride and satisfaction, many more from second generations of families who grew up in Andrew Ryan Kitchens and now want their families to do so too!

And all of them tell us again and again of their complete satisfaction with our ability to deliver outstanding intuitive designs on time, on budget and with the minimum of fuss.

Visitors are always welcome at our showrooms, where a stroll around our 7 fabulous display kitchens will give you a great idea of where to start with your own design.

While you’re here we’ll be happy to discuss your kitchen with a view to drawing up initial plans.

Once we’ve drawn up an initial design concept and general layout for discussion with you, we’ll also be able to talk to you about costings and, where applicable, visit you in your home to start the planning process and meet with your architect, builder or interior designer.

Once you’re happy with the outline plans for your handmade kitchen a deposit will be paid and the process will start in earnest with a site visit from our designer.

At this stage he will take exact dimensions and, with your approval complete the design, which will be presented to you in the form of highly detailed CAD drawings or 3D drawings if required. Because we deal with all major appliance companies we can also advise you on these and arrange purchase if required.

Once all the details have been finalised and signed off we’ll agree an installation date with you.

And remember, it is in these details that Andrew Ryan designers truly come into their own with their passion for perfection evident at every turn, from cupboard interiors to drawer liners and more.

So you can rest assured that every detail – even those that the eye will never see - will be perfect.

Three weeks before installation the designer will visit your home to check everything is in order and confirm there are no changes to the design.

Behind the scenes, our team of professional designers, technical draftsmen and furniture craftsmen all work to bring the design to life, ensuring space, proportion, practicality and budget are matched to your requirements.

All work is completed internally with everything manufactured here in our factory and as no components are bought in we maintain complete control over this project from start to finish.

Our dedicated Installation team will arrive to your house, fully briefed by our designer with furniture and appliances typically delivered one day prior to installation.

And because our teams of fitters are trained and experienced at working in private homes you can be sure the job will be completed with the minimum of fuss and disruption.
