Born out of collaboration, imagination and meticulous attention to detail, this contemporary south Dublin kitchen occupies the light-filled modern extension of a traditional family home.
The owner, was keen that form and function work side by side. Also part of the brief was that the top end subzero and Gagganau appliances, although integrated, should not overwhelm the aesthetics. In order to achieve this we incorporated them into a recessed wall but then elected to omit wall units and create long iroko Junkers wrap-around worktops to give the room its own natural flow. Painted MDF doors and sleek T-Bar handles accentuated this effect while a pull-out Junkers top beside the ovens adds extra workspace without the clutter.
The result, as you can see is a chef’s paradise wedded to an architect’s dream. |
